Findleton Estate Apple Wine 2017
The Findleton Estate and Vineyard Apple Wine was produced from 100% Granny Smith Apples harvested from Apple Hill, Camino. The apples were cold pressed, tank fermented, and aged in neutral oak barrels for eight months. The wine was bottled young without undergoing malolactic fermentation to retain the apple’s natural, fresh fruit flavors and aromas. The wine is light silver-yellow in color with aromas of green apple, grapefruit, blossoms, and subtle vanilla bean. The pallet is light and crisp with apple flavors intermingled with citrus notes. The original label artwork, by Pamela Findleton, celebrates the bounties of harvest. This is the perfect wine to enjoy on a summer picnic. Gold Medal Winner in the Amador County Wine Competition.
