Contemporary artist Pamela Findleton takes one on a passionate journey of color, texture, and energy with her quest to express beauty in everyday life. Known for her vibrant mixed media paintings, Pamela employs fluid brushstrokes that connect with the viewer in this shared experience.
Through simplicity, I strive to express the spiritual essence in my subject.
A mother of five, she began her career as a self taught artist and later studied with several master painters including Frank Webb, Gregory Kondos, Dale Laitinen, and George James.
A frequent exhibitor in national shows, Pamela's awards include the Mother Lode National Art Exhibition, the California Watercolor Society, and the Olympian Award by the Pastel Society of the West Coast. Her award-winning wine labels are featured at the family winery, Findleton Estate and Vineyard.
Pamela is a signature member of the Sierra Pastel Society and has been published in Pastel Journal and Vine Times. Her work is in collections at The Red Hawk Casino, Placerville, University of California, Davis, and the California State Capitol, Sacramento. Findleton paintings are represented in the following galleries: Marcus Ashley, Iron Willow, Petroglyphe, Spoiled Rotten, Brick Alley Art Studios, and Findleton Winery.
As a working artist living in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Pamela divides her time between her studios there and in Sacramento, CA. Through a varied life of art-making and world travel, Pamela Findleton reveals the grace of life through her paintbrush.
