$22.00

2019 Findleton El Dorado Chardonnay

The Findleton Estate and Vineyard Chardonnay, featuring Pamela’s artwork “Women of the Vines,” comes from Geisler & Baron Vineyards. This Chardonnay had early oak integration during fermentation. 100% new french oak was placed in with the grapes during fermentaion. After pressing it went into 30% new french oak barrels for 2-3 weeks and then into neutral oak for the remaining 8 months. Weekly batonage (lees stirring) was performed for the first two months of aging and the wine was allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation to develop increased textural components and secondary aromas. The palate is full-bodied and viscous with citrus flavors and creme brule, followed by a long finish with hints of oak and vanilla.

Awards: Gold Medal, 2015 Amador County Commercial Wine Competition
