2016 Findleton Sierra Foothill Zinfandel

$26.00

The Findleton Estate and Vineyard Zinfandel was one of Tom Findleton’s first commercially released wines.  His wife, Pamela Findleton was delighted to design the first label and envisioned a mermaid enjoying a glass of Zinfandel, thus bestowing the name “FIN ZIN.”   Zinfandel, a popular California wine. was originally thought to be native to California.  It turns out that our beloved Zinfandel originated in Croatioa, became popular during the Roman Empire, and shares the same DNA as what we now know as Primitivo.  Our "Fin Zin" exhibits aromas of strawberry and briar complimented by anise, clove, tobacco, and woodsmoke.  Elegant and refined, this wine is nicely balanced with red fruit, toasty oak, and underlying layers of spice.  Its finish is long, leaving you craving another sip.  Enjoy "Fin Zin" with all your Italian food favorites.
